We appreciate your interest in the Livingston Independent School District! Livingston ISD is pleased to announce that applications for Professional (certified) employment are now online. Paper applications are no longer accepted for these positions. Substitute teacher applications can be downloaded from our website and must be submitted in paper form to the Human Resources Department located in the LISD Administration Building 1412 S. Houston. Livingston, TX. 77351. The process described below will aid you in applying for a position with the District.

Application Process
To apply for a position, visit the Livingston Independent School District application page:

Administrators will be able to view the credentials of those who apply and conduct searches to identify applicants with qualifications that fit their current vacancies. Upon employment, applicants are required to provide official records of auditable documents. Through our online portal, you can check the status of your application, and therefore it is not necessary to call the Personnel Department.

The online job postings are updated as vacancies become available. Be sure to view this page on a regular basis. In addition, the Human Resources Department recruits at various teacher job fairs across the state.

Note: Internal Applicants will use the Internal Application when applying through the On-line Portal.

Interview Process
Campus principals will contact you directly for an interview. Interviews are scheduled at the specified campus. In order to make the interviewing/hiring process as streamlined as possible, please do not contact principals directly by telephoning or just “stopping by” his/her office. Interviews are scheduled through the online portal and can be accessed through your account.

Hiring Process
Recommendations for employment are made by the campus principals. Once an applicant has been recommended for employment, you will be notified by the Personnel Department to schedule a time for completing the required paperwork.
