High School Orientation and Registration Dates Set

With the first day of school fast approaching, things are coming together well at #1 Lions Avenue.

REGISTRATION FOR HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS NEW TO LIVINGSTON ISD

August 13th and 14th
8:00am – 4:00pm

New students who are moving in and attending Livingston High School will need to enter through the front doors and come upstairs to the Registrar’s Office with their parent or guardian.

You must bring the following information in order to register:
• Birth Certificate
• Updated Shot Record
• Proof of Residency
(utility bill with name and 911 address)
• Drivers License
• Social Security Card
• Report Card (if applicable)
• Proof of Income (if applicable)
• Foster or CPS Documents (if applicable)
• Military Documentation (if applicable)

ORIENTATION FOR LIVINGSTON HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS 9 – 12

All currently enrolled students who will attend Livingston High School should plan on coming to the school during the dates and times listed below.  Please enter through the cafeteria doors.

Seniors:             August 13 (Wednesday) from 8:00 to 11:00 am
Juniors:             August 13 (Wednesday) from 1:00 to 4:00 pm
Sophomores:     August 14 (Thursday) from 8:00 to 11:00 am
Freshmen:         August 14 (Thursday) from 1:00 to 4:00 pm

In order to pick up their schedules students will need to:

  • turn in found textbooks or pay the cost
  • clear any library fines
  • be current on vaccinations
  • have their ID pictures taken

To register for parking, students will need to complete the steps above and:

  • pay fee ($10)
  • provide copy of current license
  • provide copy of current proof of insurance
  • complete and sign parking rules form (parent and child signatures)

 PARENT – TEACHER NIGHT

Thursday, August 21 from 5:30 – 7:30
Open to any High School Students and their Parents

Anyone interested in meeting the teachers, administrators, counselors, touring the building, and generally getting a good start to the 2008-2009 school year should plan to attend.  The new principal Ms. Shaw will give a brief overview of expectations for the year and introduce the Assistant Principals and Counselors.  Parents and students will then be able to meet and visit with teachers in their rooms.  The PTO will provide refreshments and have t-shirts and membership forms available.
