LHS Winter Band Concert

LHS - Amid a setting of sparkle, glitter, trees and trimmings, the LHS Royal Brigade performed their annual “Sounds of Christmas” concert in the LHS Auditorium on Tuesday evening, December 8th. This annual event signifies not only the Christmas season, but also the transition from the Royal Brigade marching band to the LHS Symphonic Band and the beginning of the concert season. Joined by the LHS Jazz Ensemble, the band performed a variety of musiccelebrating the wonders of Christmas. Selections included Handel for Christmas, Away in a Manger, and African Bell Carol, along with collections of familiar Christmas carols in symphonic settings. The Jazz Ensemble featured Rock on Merry Gents, based on God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen as well as a salute to everyone’s favorite Christmas thief, Mr. Grinch. The band would like to thank those who attended and wish everyone a very Merry Christmas.
