2nd Graders Mail Letters for Food Drive
Submitted by Javada Smith, Timber Creek Elementary

Mrs. Faith and Mrs. Smith's second grade classes mailed a letter to their parents about the food drive. This was an awesome experience. One student said "Mmm this envelope taste good!" Another student said "This is my first time to mail a letter!" When asked what they liked most about mailing a letter the students said they couldn't wait until it arrived. They are trying to guess how long it would take to get there. Some would be checking their mailbox as soon as they got home. We'll let you know how long it took as soon as it arrives! This was a great way to let parents know we need more can food items and an eye opening experience on how to address an envelope.
