FFA State Officers Visit LHS
Submitted by Rachel Bond, Livingston High School FFA
On November 29, 2007 the Livingston FFA Chapter held an assembly in the High School Auditorium. The assembly started off with Curtis Langley, advisor, introducing his State-Qualifying Farm Skills Team who did an excellent job with their presentation, and will compete at the Sam Houston State University LDE Contest on December 1, 2007.
The remainder of the assembly consisted of an excellent presentation by the Texas State FFA Officers: Justin Self, Texas FFA President from Area VIII, Tatum Gun, Texas FFA Vice-President from Area I, and Kristen Stewart, the State Vice-President from Area IX. They made a presentation on “Minding Your P’s and Q”, a lesson that we all enjoyed. The three P’s: Passion, Perpetuity, and Perspective, and Q: the question. The presentation was beneficial to everyone and we all learned a lesson that will help us in the future.
