Shaving Creme Writing
Submitted by Bria Morris, Timber Creek Elementary
Timber Creek Elementary - Mrs. Morris’ Kindergarten class explored their letters, sounds, and sight words with shaving cream. During the assignment, Ms. Duke would ask them to write a letter, then tell the sound it makes, and after playing a little while the children had to write their sight words. The kids had a blast and believed they looked like scientist’s in their outfits. This was a great experience for the children as well as a wonderful way to learn their sight words.

Submitted by Gayle Colburn, Timber Creek Elementary
Timber Creek Elementary - Mrs. Colburn’s Kindergarten class used puppets to re-tell the story of “The Three Little Pigs.” After reading the story, they took turns playing the various parts. They learned about using a big voice, speaking clearly, being a good audience, and re-telling the story with the correct sequence of events.
