The Little Shop of Horrors

Livingston - Come see the outrageous musical "The Little Shop of Horrors"!!! It will be a night of fun for the whole family!!! Tickets will be available from Lisa Henderson at LHS and at Shrimpboat Manny's starting Halloween weekend! The show will be presented on November 13, 14,15,17 at 7:00 pm and November 16, 2008 at 2:00 pm. Tickets $8.00 in advance and $10.00 at the door.
LHS on the way to having their first Certified Nursing Assistants

LHS - Student in the CNA program at LHS will begin their journey in the clinical setting on November 21, 2008. After three weeks of clinicals they will take their final exam and then on December 20, 2008 they will graduate from the Certified Nursing Assistant Program with their certificate. I am very proud of each and every one of these students for their hard work and dedication.
Royal Brigade Competes at Region

LHS - On Saturday Nov 8th, the Royal Brigade traveled to Little Cypress-Mauriceville HS to compete in the UIL Region 10 Marching Contest. Although smaller than most of the other 4A HS Bands, LHS earned a rating of Excellent, the same rating earned by Port Neches- Groves and higher than those earned by both Ozen and Central. The Royal Brigade was complimented on the quality of sound and execution of drill, coming close to the coveted Superior rating. Congratulations to the students who competed.

Juvenile Law Presentations Scheduled

LISD - On November 17, 2008 at LJH, Assistant District Attorney Michael Matthews along with Raymond Ortiz will be doing presentations regarding juvenile law. The two gentleman will be doing the same presentations at LHS on November 19, 2008. Mr. Matthews will discuss the types of offenses seen in the schools and that are being filed by his office. Topics include assaults, sex crimes, drug possession, public intoxication, public lewdness, and terroristic threats.
The schedule is as follows:
LJH --- November 17, 2008 8:55 AM to 11:00 AM(two presentations)
LHS-----November 19, 2008 9:15 AM to 10:30 AM (two presentations.

The only UIL passes accepted will be District 20/4A and 19/4A and Texas High School Coaches Association. (All passes are holder plus one guest.) Student Tickets will be sold during school lunches on Thursday and Friday at High School and at Livingston Intermediate School.
Livingston will be the Home team and sit on the Home Side.
Boys Soccer Try-Outs Scheduled

JH Basketball Results - November 10

LHS - The 7th grade girls played hard against Huntington and almost came out with a victory. In the first quarter we were leading 6 to 2. Alex us Stockwell stepped up early and scored all 6 points. In the second quarter we went up 13 to 4. Quanisha Johnson scored 6 points from the post and Emilee Shumake made a free-throw. In the second half we slowed down and let them come back up. Overall everyone did their best and we are very proud of their hard work!
