Flowers for Algernon
Submitted by Jeani Meade, Livingston Junior High School, November 3, 2008

LJH - Students spent two weeks in Mrs. Meade's ELA class reading Flowers for Algernon by Faniel Keyes. It is the story of a mentally handicapped man who chooses to undergo surgery to triple his intelligence. Part of Charlie's testing included analyzing Rorshack inkblots. Mrs. Meade's class reviewed some of the Rorshack inkblots and then created some of their own. "It was sad that at first Charlie could not see anything in the inkblots," said eighth grade student Keely Williams. We challenge you with our own? What do you see?
