Students Dominate Division with Division Dice
Submitted by Michelle Moore, Livingston Intermediate School
5th grade students in Mrs. Moore's class created and solved their own division problems using a die. Their first three rolls of the die = their dividend. The next two rolls = their divisior. Once they created, solved, and showed all their work they used a calculator and formula (Quotient X divisor + remainder = dividend) to check their work. Students were given steps to follow along with how their work would be graded. |
