Why we Lion Report?
The Livingston Independent School District is yours. It belongs to the students, the parents, and the community. The Lion Report is our way of reaching our many members through positive communication and ideas to make life better for our local young people. In Livingston, our greatest strength is our community, and we want everyone to be able to share in the power of education and the local schools. Enjoy this daily gift to you and the good news about our local young people. |

Nouns and Newspapers
Submitted by Michelle Creech, Livingston Intermediate
After reviewing the difference between common and proper nouns, students went on a "Newspaper Scavenger Hunt" for particular items: a proper noun you can drive, a common noun that is a place, a proper noun that you can eat, . . . Then, using the items they found in the paper, they wrote a composition with them. One student said, "This is WAY better than doing a worksheet. I can look at the sports page and learn at the same time!"
