Submitted by Karen Sanders, Pine Ridge Elementary
The 50's Day program was so much fun at Pine Ridge Elementary! Even the teachers had fun entertaining the students. These pictures are the third grade teachers dressed as cheerleaders and football players from the 1956 Livingston football team. Can who guess these teachers names?

Annual Food Drive is Successful at TCE
Submitted by Robbie Vinson, Timber Creek Elementary
Timber Creek Elementary’s Annual food drive has come to a successful end. This year we were able to collect 2,895 food items to help restock the Polk County Food Missions pantry. The class in each grade level who brought the most items won a reward. In Pre-K it was Mrs. Patranella’s p.m. class with 103, in kindergarten it was Mrs. Colburn’s class with 41, in 1st grade it was Mrs. Murphy’s class with 110, in 2nd grade was Mrs. Stanley’s class with a staggering 405 items, and in 3rd grade it was Mrs. Harrell’s class with 280. Thank you to all the students and parents for supporting this cause. Thank you to the teachers for encouraging the students.

LIVINGSTON LADY LIONS vs. Mance Park
Monday, October 29, 2007
GREEN TEAM
Game 1: 19-25
Game 2: 16-25
The lady lions played their last district game before the tournament, last night. The team had more errors, against the hornets, than they could recover from. Huntsville is a strong team, but given another chance against them, the lady lions could prevail. Maybe they will get this opportunity on Saturday.
WHITE TEAM
Game 1: 23-25
Game 2: 29-27
Game 3: 25-7
In the first game the Lady Lions came up short by making several mistakes, lost 23 to 25. Finally in the second came the Lady Lions started to recover and won 29 to 27, the battle was on. In the third game the Lady Hornets were in trouble. Very powerful serves by Morgan Hugo, and Sammantha Burnett. Kortni Weigreffe served 9 great serves in a row which led us to victory 25 to 7. We will be playing our district tournament on Saturday which will determine who will win district. Right now we are 6 and 1, so keep pushing good spirits in our direction to take district....
