Tipi Tellers to Share the Magic of Storytelling
Submitted by Timber Creek Elementary
What can humankind learn from nature? Find out through the fascinating power of stories told in a 28-foot tipi by the Tipi Tellers on Thursday, November 8 at 7:45 at Timber Creek Elementary.
The Dallas/Fort Worth-based group tells entertaining, thought-provoking stories that help motivate stewardship of the Earth’s resources, celebrate the diversity of animal and human life, teach respect for each other and ourselves, and reveal Native American philosophy. Come laugh and imagine with Tipi Tellers as they weave their captivating stories about nature.
Guests are invited to sit on fur skins in a full-size tipi while they listen to the stories. The tipi is a story unto itself, and helps create an understanding of how people are connected to the Earth.
Tipi Tellers have told stories to tens of elementary and middle school students at dozens of schools throughout Texas, and have appeared at numerous festivals including the Cowboy Symposium in Camp Wood, The Woodlands Earth Day near Houston, The 1894 Opera House in Galveston and Western Heritage Days in Del Rio.
For additional information contact Tipi Tellers at 214-212-1771, or e-mail tipi@tipiteller.org, or visit the Tipi Tellers web site at www.tipitellers.org. |
