Inquisitive Minds Want To Learn
Submitted by Vicki Gudgel, Livingston Junior High

Livingston Junior High - Mrs. Gudgel's sixth grade science students love a challenge! "To be willing to step out of their comfort zone, think critically, and to become risk takers are important goals for all my students." The students have been involved in a variety of lab experiments in which they were engaged in higher level problem solving. The students performed tasks to determine physical and chemical changes based on physical and chemical properties of matter. Students also delved deep into lab experiences relating to forms of energy and energy transformations.

Lady Lions Soccer Attends Texas A&M Game
Submitted by Shanna Silva, Livingston High School

Livingston High School - The current lady lion soccer team attended the a Fightin’ Texas Aggie soccer home game on September 21st.  They were active participants in traditions that help make Texas A&M athletic sanctions one of the most well known in the nation.  The Aggie soccer girls team is currently ranked 3rd in the Big 12 and this allowed for the Lady Lions to see a great game and the value of a true home field advantage.

After the game the Lady Lions joined the Aggies on the field which allowed for interactions between the Aggie athletes and the Livingston girls.  The Livingston Lady Lions asked the Aggie athletes questions about practices and typical school days on campus.  The Lady Lions were able to receive autographs and tidbits of valued information about a sport that these girls have come to love.  I think that the ladies gained not only a greater knowledge of the game but the passion that is known as Texas A&M University.
