Livingston ISD - Tuesday, September 25, 2007 |
In a completely rational society, the best of us would aspire to be teachers and the rest of us would have to settle for something less, because passing civilization along from one generation to the next ought to be the highest honor and the highest responsibility anyone could have.

Submitted by Rita DeWitt, Livingston Intermediate School
Ms.DeWitt's 5th grade Social Studies classes recently completed a project to determine the most Kid-Friendly state in the U.S. They researched statistics on everything from crime rate to roller coasters and reading scores to ice cream parlors. Each group presented a poster on the state they chose and then the class voted on the most Kid-Friendly state. Two out of four classes chose Colorado with Florida and Minnesota coming in with one class vote each.
