Matho Brings New Life to Math Skills
Submitted by Michelle Moore, Livingston Intermediate School
Seahorse students in Mrs. Moore's 5th grade classroom had a great time reviewing their whole and decimal numbers with the Matho activity. Students chose 24 numbers from a list, written in standard form, and recorded them on their sheet/card.
Like Bingo, the teacher reads a number, in word form, and the students look for the number on their sheet/card. If they had the number then, they placed a marker on the number. Once they had a "Matho" then, they read the number back to Mrs. Moore in word form. Those that "Matho" correctly received a Math Homework pass. |
