Pine Ridge “Meet the Teacher” Night

Pine Ridge Elementary was a busy place on “Meet the Teacher Night” with students, parents and teachers all excited to meet each other and prepare for a new school year. Halls were crowded with happy faces, laughter and greetings from old friends, as well as new.
Swing Into the New School Year: Par for the Course Parenting Tips

The Pine Ridge Elementary Counseling Department is hosting their second annual "Swing into the New School Year: Par for the Course Parenting Tips" Workshop and Discussion Group. The event will be held on Thursday, September 13, 2007 at 7:30 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. in the PRE Guidance Center Room A104.
This is the 2nd annual one-session Workshop and Discussion Group for parents and others who help rear children attending Pine Ridge Elementary School. Counselors will be presenting back to school tips for you and your children. Home management ideas, family meetings/values, responsibilities & privileges, parenting styles, behavior consequences and working with your child’s teacher are a few of the items that will be discussed.

Homecoming Dance Planned

Livingston High School will be holding a Homecoming Dance on Friday, September 14, 2007. The dance will begin immediately following the football game and last until midnight. It will be held in the Livingston HS Cafeteria. The cost will be $5.00 per student and guest. Tickets will only be sold from Thursday, September 6 - Thursday, September 13 in the cafeteria at all lunches. No tickets may be purchased at the door. Any student enrolled in LHS is eligible to attend with a guest. Guests must be at least in the 9th grade and no older than 2007 graduates. Consessions and photographs will be available for purchase.
2007 High School Yearbooks are Here

2008 High School Yearbook Presale

The 2008 High School Yearbook Presale will be taking place now until September 14, 2007, before (7:00-7:30) or after (3:00-3:30) school in Room S102.
The award winning, 2008 Lion's Roar Yearbook will be on sale from now until September 14th for an introductory rate of $60. After that date the price will increase to $80. In order to reserve your 2008 book, fill out and return the form sent home in the mail with at least a $20 deposit. If you don't have an order blank, you may print one from the link on the school website. Call 328-2267 for more information.

Chicken BLT Sandwiches

INGREDIENTS

teaspoons vegetable oil |

boneless skinless chicken breast halves (1 1/4 pounds) |
| 1/4 |
cup Thousand Island dressing |
| 4 |
whole wheat sandwich buns, split |
| 4 |
lettuce leaves |

slices tomato |
| 4 |
slices bacon, cooked, drained and broken in half |
DIRECTIONS

Heat oil in 10-inch skillet over medium-high heat. Cook chicken in oil 15 to 20 minutes, turning once, until juice is no longer pink when centers of thickest pieces are cut. |

Spread dressing on cut sides of buns. Layer chicken, lettuce, tomato and bacon on bottoms of buns. Top with tops of buns. |
