Texas Tall Tales
Submitted by Megan Craycraft, Livingston Junior High School
Ms. Craycraft's 7th grade class created their own Texas Tall Tales and presented them to their classmates. Students wrote the "real story" of how inventions such as toothpicks, high heels, ten gallon cowboy hats, Big Red gum, salsa, etc came about.
Bravo! Junior High Theatre!
Submitted by Marion LeBlanc, Livingston Junior High School
The theatre students at LJH had an awesome first two weeks of school. They have learned wonderful warm-ups, such as "The Little Green Frog". They experienced, first hand, how to organize a costume/prop/set room. They've loved performing improvisational skits. These actors and actresses are enjoying the non-traditional set-up of the class by sitting on sofas, rocking chairs, and bean bags. What a wonderful start to a stellar year of performing in theatre arts! Look out, Oscars and Tonys! Here we come!
