2nd Annual JROTC Summer Boot Camp
Submitted by the Livingston High School JROTC , September 4, 2008

Livingston - Livingston and Onalaska’s JROTC cadet’s completed their 2nd annual Summer Boot Camp at Livingston High School. The Boot Camp was sponsored by the Onalaska JROTC and the Livingston JROTC Booster Club Program. Livingston’s Senior Army Instructor, Major Hester, Army Instructor Chief Lloyed  and Onalaska’s Senior Army Instructor Sergant Major Esler were responsible for getting the Boot Camp ready and started. During the boot camp, cadet’s worked hard and endured mental and physical training. Each day they had Physical Training and different types of Leadership classes.

They learned the basics of the Army and what you have to do to step up, take charge and be a leader. The last day of the camp each cadet graduated and Livingston’s Julia Loignon received the Best Platoon Leader Award and Donovan Aragon received the Best Squad Leader Award. The camp was a success and each cadet that attended the camp is now ready for the new year and can help those that were not able to make it to the camp.
