Why we Lion Report?
The Livingston Independent School District is yours. It belongs to the students, the parents, and the community. The Lion Report is our way of reaching our many members through positive communication and ideas to make life better for our local young people. In Livingston, our greatest strength is our community, and we want everyone to be able to share in the power of education and the local schools. Enjoy this daily gift to you and the good news about our local young people. |

Pirates of Livingston
Submitted by Jeanni Meade, Livingston Junior High School, September 8, 2008
Livingston - Students in Mrs. Meade's 8th grade English class at Livingston Junior High School are focusing on the eight parts of speech by creating treasure maps.
"Students must use at least five of the eight parts of speech when writing directions on the map,” said Mrs. Meade. “It is a chance for them to experiment with the English language in a creative manner."
Students also used ships and pirate names from the Pirates of the Caribbean game of Life to increase their interest and motivate their creativity. |
