Seniors 2013

Do you need help completing your FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid)?  The SHSU “Go Bus” will be on campus from 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. on Monday, February 25th to help you and your parents complete the FAFSA form that is necessary for you to receive financial aid for college.

Information you and/or your parents will need that day to complete the FAFSA include:

*Student and parent social security numbers (or Tax ID if you do not have a social security number)

*FAFSA pins of student and parent (If parent already has one from an older student)  If parent or student do not have a pin, they will help you get one.

*Date of birth of student and parents

*Date of marriage if parents are married

*W-2 forms of parent and student

*Copy of filed tax forms of parents and student (If already filed – which is preferable) If parents filed electronically, they can sign on to their online account to get information.  The FAFSA now links directly to the IRS website, so it can pull information from there if they have filed already.

Procedure for February 25th

*“Go Bus” will be parked in the FRONT visitor parking lot.

*Parents will park and go INSIDE the building to leave their drivers license with Mrs. Pulley and get a pass to be on campus.  If they need their child, Mrs. Pulley will call for the student at that time.  No parent will be allowed on the “Go Bus” without checking in first with Mrs. Pulley and obtaining a badge.  No student will be excused from class without going through Mrs. Pulley.
