We appreciate your interest in the Livingston Independent School District! Livingston ISD is pleased to announce that applications for Professional (certified) employment are now online. Paper applications are no longer accepted for these positions. Substitute teacher applications can be downloaded from our website and must be submitted in paper form to the Human Resources Department located in the LISD Administration Building 1412 S. Houston. Livingston, TX. 77351. The process described below will aid you in applying for a position with the District.
Application Process
To apply for a position, visit the Livingston Independent School District application page: Click Here!
You may access the online application system from any internet accessible computer or you may use the computers provided at the Human Resources Department. The online application system will take you through the three-step process:
1) Create an Account
2) Complete Your Application Electronically
3) Submit photocopies of required documents when offered employment.
Administrators will be able to view credentials of those who apply and conduct searches to identify applicants with qualifications that fit their current vacancies. Upon employment, applicants are required to provide official records of auditable documents. You will receive an e-mail from the Human Resources Department verifying receipt of your online application. Therefore it is not necessary to call the HR Department.
The online job postings are updated as vacancies become available. Be sure to view this page on a regular basis. In addition, the Human Resources Department recruits at various teacher job fairs across the state. For a list of upcoming job fairs, click on the Recruitment Schedule from the Employment section of the web page.
Interview Process
Campus principals will contact you directly for an interview. Interviews are scheduled at the specified campus. In order to make the interviewing/hiring process as streamlined as possible, please do not contact principals directly by telephoning or just “stopping by” his/her office. Send principals a written letter of interest with a resume’ through the mail or by e-mail.
Hiring Process
Recommendations for employment are made by the campus principals. Once an applicant has been recommended for employment, you will be notified by the Human Resources Department to schedule a time for completing the required paperwork.
