Family Financial Literacy Night - Sept. 27

Livingston ISD GEAR UP and First National Bank of Livingston are hosting a Family Financial Literacy Night at Livingston High School on September 27 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm in the Library on the LHS campus.  A meal will be catered by the LHS FCCLA.

   GEAR UP is an acronym that stands for “Gaining Early Awareness and Readiness for Undergraduate Programs.”  It is a seven-year federal grant program provided by the Department of Education awarded to the Institute for Public School Initiatives in the College of Education Department at the University of Texas at Austin.  The purpose of GEAR UP is designed to increase the number of students who attend college by creating a college-going culture in their environment.
