Welcome to Lion Country!
As I start my eighth year as superintendent in Livingston ISD, it is with great pride I serve alongside my fellow educators that literally are inspiring the future of our community and our great state. Any organization is only as strong as those individuals that make up the whole. We win and lose with people, and our people love the students they serve.
The time in which we live has made it clear that we all need each other to be successful. I am incredibly proud of our district's response to COVID-19 as we are learning to live with this health crisis. The efforts of our staff and students in working together ensure that a generation of students does not become educational victims of these times. Against impossible odds, we can overcome these challenges by working together to ensure that our students are prepared for their post-secondary dreams. I invite you to engage with us on this journey to prove that tough times don't last, but tough people do.
My heart is deeply rooted in this community as not only the superintendent but a parent, a spouse of an employee, and a community member. While I can't promise this year will be easy, I can promise we will make great things happen because I believe in our vision and grit. I love LISD.
God Bless and Go Lions,
Dr. Brent Hawkins
