Enrollment & Registration

All Livingston ISD students, both new and returning, will be required to register through the online Parent Portal prior to the first day of school.  Parents/Guardians will need to have an established Parent Portal account and an active email address linked to their account to complete the registration process.  Parents/Guardians of students in grades 1 – 5 must will also need to complete the Campus Placement Form, which can be found at the bottom of this page

CREATING A PARENT PORTAL ACCOUNT:

  1. Click on the Parent Portal button at the top right of the website, or click on the Ascender Parent Portal icon on the Parent Page.
  2. Follow the prompts to set up your Parent Portal account.  We have included a letter with the information you will need to link your students to your Parent Portal account.
  3. Once you have successfully created a Parent Portal account and have linked your student to your account, you will be able to being the registration process.

 

VERIFICATION OF RESIDENCY:

  • Prior to the student receiving their class schedule, current verification of residency must be on file.
  • District-approved examples of documentation include:
    • An electric (light) bill with a physical address listed (water cable, satellite, or cell phone bills will not be accepted)
    • A lease agreement may be accepted if it describes that the payment of utilities is included in the lease.
  • All residency will be verified by the Polk County Central Appraisal Officer and/or the School Resource Officer.
  • If you do not have an electric (light) bill in your name, please download the Alternate Verification of Residency Form below, print it, complete it, and have it notarized.  This form must accompany the electric bill.
  • P.O. Box addresses will NOT be accepted!

REQUIRED DOCUMENTATION – ALL GRADE LEVELS:

  • A copy of the student’s certified birth certificate (hospital certificate will not be accepted
  • Updated shot record
  • Proof of residency (electric/light bill with name and 911 address or rental/lease agreement)
  • Driver’s license or state ID of the person enrolling the student (parent or guardian)
  • Student’s social security card
  • Report card (if applicable)
  • Verification of household income – 3 recent paystubs (Pre-K)
  • Foster or CPS documents (Pre-K if applicable)
  • Military documentation (Pre-K if applicable)

LISD Pre-K Program

The Pre-K program at LISD is an income-based, federal program and enrollment is contingent upon income verification.  Below, you will find a list of current Pre-K guidelines that must be met in order to qualify for the Pre-K program.

 

Pre-Kindergarten Program Qualification Guidelines:

  • The student must be at least four (4) years of age on or before September 1, 2025.
  • Qualify based on household income per TDA Income Eligibility Guidelines or,
  • Non-English speaking or,
  • The student is a child of an active duty, injured, killed, or MIA member of the armed forces of the United States, including the state military forces or a reserve component of the armed forces or,
  • A child who is or has been in the conservatorship of the Department of Family and Protective Services (CPS) following an advisory hearing relating to the child’s removal from the custody of a parent, custodian, guardian, or caretaker or,
  • The student is homeless according to state guidelines or,
  • The student is a family member of a Star of Texas Award honoree.

 

Legal parents or guardians of Pre-K students MUST complete the Pre-Kindergarten Income Verification Form below before eligibility can be determined.

Campus Placement

Please note that Campus Placement Forms for the 2025-2026 school year are not being accepted at this time.  Please only fill out a Campus Placement Form for the current 2024-2025 school year.

 

Parents/Guardians of 1st –  5th grade students new to Livingston ISD must complenet and online Campus Placement Form to determine which elementary campus your child will attend once enrolled and registered.  Upon completion of this form, the parents/guardians will be notified of which campus their child will be attending by email.  Emails will be sent during our business hours, 8:00 AM – 3:00 PM, Monday – Friday (excluding holidays and days the district is closed).  If you do not receive an email withing 1-2 business days of submission, check your spam folder to ensure that it did not end up there.  If the email is not in your spam folder, please contact us at (936)328-2300.
