January 20, 2021 – NOTICE of District Advisory Council Meeting

February 4, 2021 –- The District Advisory Council meeting was attended by Zoom and called to order at 4:00 pm by Chief Academic Officer Janan Moore.  The meeting was attended by Katherine Ketner, Katie Munson, Kelly Francis, Kristy Long, Lauren Nettles, Luis Amario, Marvin Humphreys, Mary Hill, Monica Munson, Pamela Mitchell, Paul Drake, Paula Faith, Quetara Randolph, Robbie Vinson, Robert Richardson, Sarah Vega, Sheri Murphy, Suzonna McFarlain, William Phillips, Jennifer Birdwell.

The meeting was called to order at 4:00 pm

Janan Moore shared the proposed District of Innovation Plan which allowed the following.

- Teachers will start school on August 1^st

- Teacher certification requirement will allow teachers out of field or out of state certification. Under current state law – not highly qualified without certification in Texas.

- Teacher appraisals are conducted once every three years.

- The plan will be posted on the website for thirty days and will be presented to the board during the March School Board Meeting.
