Dear Lion Country Sports Fans,
As many of you are aware, Covid-19 is continuing to impact school sporting events. The University Interscholastic League (UIL) has posted guidance and the UIL District Committees passed a policy that all district facilities will operate at 50% capacity at this time.
The main issue in our district will be the Friday night varsity football contest. All contests will be held with strict CDC Guidelines including the spectators wearing masks and social distancing under the order of Governor Abbott. Please understand that this is a requirement following state guidelines regardless of how you feel about the order.
The district will not have reserved seating this year but rather limited presale seating. Season ticket holders will be allowed to purchase the number of tickets they purchased for the previous season. The district has also reserved a pool of tickets for the participants' parents. The cost of these tickets will be $6 per game and sold in a season ticket bundle. There will be no ticket sales at the gate nor individual game packages.
Football ticket sales for the previous year's ticket holders will be sold the week of August 10th-14th. If you are a season ticket holder please contact Lillie Hopson at 936-328-2100 during that week and you will receive the information needed to purchase your seats.
Football ticket sales for parents of participants will be the week of August 17th-21st. Your student’s sponsor or coach will provide your student with the information on this process prior to this block of tickets going on sale.
Any tickets not purchased by previous season ticket holders or parents will be released on August 28th. No one will be allowed in the stadium without a ticket. Passes will not be accepted this year. Next year events should return to the way tickets have been distributed in the past.
All other Livingston Lion contests, except varsity football, will allow fan entry on a first come first serve basis until the facility reaches 50% capacity.
Information for Varsity football away games will be distributed to parents of participants as soon as it becomes available.
Thanks for your understanding and Go Lions!
