September is National Suicide Prevention Month

According to the CDC, Suicide is now the SECOND leading cause of death for youth ages 12-18.  

September is National Suicide Prevention Month. All month, mental health advocates, prevention organizations, survivors, allies, and community members unite to promote suicide prevention awareness.

LHS Academic Advising office teamed up with LHS StuCo to promote the "You Matter" campaign. 

We encourage all students to look for warning signs and reach out if they, or someone they know, have thoughts of self-harm, depression, or suicide.
